The Five Winning Secrets

The Winning Process: Using a systematic and proven process for winning that provides you with a clear roadmap to achieving even greater results. Without a process, we don't achieve results consistently. Cary is a product of a process that top athletes follow. This process helped him go from last place in his first World Cup, literally, to eventually winning a World Cup Championship. The Winning Process is a cycle of continuous improvement including preparation, execution, assessment and rejuvenation and it is proven to work.

Pick Your Line: Mastering the ability to have a long-term vision while assessing your obstacles and opportunities to make the best decisions in the short-term. In our society there are an abundance of obstacles and opportunities. Once you decide what winning is for you, you'll tap into your passion and you'll find ways to make it happen. Pick Your Line will help you to realize the power of focus to tap into your clarity and passion so that you can achieve better results.

Lunge Forward: Overcoming the paralysis created by fear so that you can achieve more of the results you are capable of. Even after we've picked our line, fear and indecision can block us from achieving our goal. Cary designed the Lunge Forward approach so that he would stop letting fear hold him back so he could start achieving the results he knew he was capable of. In many ways, this approach has been directly responsible for his success. Lunge Forward is about being fully proactive, strategic and engaged as you Lunge Forward into life.

Teamwork Wins: Harnessing the power of a team to save time and energy, stay motivated and increase your own personal results and the results of the team. This secret not only makes winning possible, it makes winning easier. One thing Cary knows from his years in sport is that winning takes a team. As a ski racer, he had an amazing team to help him succeed - everything from nutritionists, technicians and coaches to psychologists and other teammates. Cary knows that it is sometimes tempting to try to do it all yourself, but you'll be more successful if you leverage the talent of others. Teamwork is about achieving results. In sport and in business, working with a team helps us to leverage best practices to save time and energy so we can experience more personal success. Teamwork Wins will help you learn from your teammates, even the ones who you are finding difficult to work with.

Be Resilient: Persevering through adversity with adaptable persistence and keep defeat from deflating you while you modify your approach to get even better results in the future. To win in life means failing many times first. In his career, Cary had many crashes and three serious concussions. One of the most difficult crashes for him to mentally recover from was at the Olympic games. He had spent almost 18 years training to get there, only to end up crashing in the net. It's hard not to let something like that define you. Resilience helped him to get back in the game and win a World Cup Championship within 2 weeks of the crash at the Olympic games. Everyone experiences setbacks - it's inevitable. Be Resilient is a strategy to believe in and stay committed to your goals despite the inevitable setbacks that occur.
